Quasimorph Roadmap: 1.0 Patch Notes and What's Next

The Quasimorph roadmap since the July 2026 1.0 launch — every patch and hotfix so far, Patch 1.0.1's full changes, and what's planned for late 2026.

Quasimorph hit 1.0 on Steam on July 31, 2026, closing out nearly three years of Early Access that began October 2, 2023 — and the developers have been shipping hotfixes and balance patches on close to a weekly cadence ever since.

What 1.0 added

The headline additions are five storylines and nine endings across 38 story missions, spanning Civil Resistance, Tezctlan, Xiomara, AnCom, and RealWare. Alongside the story content, 1.0 added 29 new guns spread across faction tiers — pushing players toward mixed damage-type loadouts, since single-damage builds fail faster against upgraded stations — a 142-pact system tied into storyline rites, built-in Map Editor and Mod Manager tools, and 82 Steam achievements covering extraction milestones, story completion, class mastery, and challenge runs.

The unstable beta lead-up

Before the official 1.0 launch, two unstable beta builds shipped fixes that carried straight into the release. The July 26 beta made using console commands invalidate a save's achievement eligibility, fixed several weapon-stat and dismantling-recipe errors, fixed some faction storylines failing to generate procedural missions, and capped shock/hypothermia stun duration at exactly one turn. The July 28 beta adjusted traits on several weapons to better match their intended role, and fixed armor dismantling errors, faction technology list errors, an NPC corpse that wouldn't despawn, a bane that was creating unkillable NPCs, the FPS limit not persisting after a restart, and two achievements that couldn't be earned.

Launch day and the first hotfix

On July 30, the developers posted a short pre-release note: "1.0 Releases Tomorrow — Let's Take a Breath." The official 1.0 launch announcement went out August 1: "Quasimorph has officially left Early Access and launched in version 1.0. For the next two weeks the game will be available at a 33% discount. Thank you to everyone who stayed with us throughout Early Access." A same-day hotfix set the FPS limit to default to 120 on first launch, converted the Stonecrusher item into Power Armor with matching recipe changes, and fixed components tied to a trait change from the previous update.

A public commitment to fix onboarding

On August 2, the developers posted a QoL and difficulty balance preview acknowledging player feedback directly: "we can see that some interface elements do not explain the game's mechanics clearly enough, while the current presentation of difficulty can lead to a frustrating experience, especially for new players." A follow-up hotfix on August 4 fixed Robbery mission items sometimes spawning with reduced durability, V-Sync not capping FPS in windowed mode, a pact effect that wasn't ending correctly, a UI glitch on Descend mission evacuation, missing mission-success screens on some contracts, incorrect planet portraits, and two RealWare storyline issues.

Patch 1.0.1: the first full content patch

Patch 1.0.1 (build 1.0.1.566s.7e4da55) landed August 7 with a direct message from the developers: "we are regularly collecting, processing, and organizing your feedback... Quasimorph has genuinely resonated with a broad audience, but at the same time, certain parts of the game still need further improvements — particularly when it comes to the interface, the readability of game systems, and QoL."

Patch 1.0.1 QoL highlights

Mission tooltips now show faction tech level, an estimated enemy and room count, and travel time, with the skull-difficulty rating recalibrated to be more accurate. Active implants moved onto the main screen, the trade window shows which items a station will accept, and the shuttle inventory became directly accessible from the elevator once unlocked.

On the balance side, 1.0.1 narrowed the Ritualism perk's pact-cost reduction from a 20-80% range down to 30-60%, stopped Barons from fleeing dangerous terrain, added the Flash Pistol to the blue chip pool, increased Electrical Parts drop rates, and evened out healing-time distribution across wound severities. A long list of smaller fixes addressed Control-mission enemy counting, a self-damage bug on a teleport pact, trade-shuttle profit miscalculation, an achievement that could be farmed unintentionally, and several UI edge cases.

What's planned next

Looking forward, the developers have flagged an in-game Bestiary for enemy data as a Q4 2026 goal, alongside continued controller and Steam Deck polish. Beyond that, a 2027 DLC is planned to add new mechanics and story content beyond the current nine-ending campaign — though specific DLC details haven't been announced yet, so treat that scope as directional rather than confirmed.
